Tunisian flag celebrates its 189th Anniversary

It was after the destruction of the Tunisian naval division at the Battle of Navarino on 20 October 1827 that the sovereign Husseinite Hussein II Bey decided to create a flag to be used by the Tunisian fleet, to distinguish it from other fleets, and adds a white circle, besides the crescent and star symbols already present in jewelry, art and Tunisian architecture.
