B'chira Ben Mrad, Tunisian feminist.

The daughter of Sheikh Mohamed Saleh Ben Mrad federated Tunisian feminist movement by founding the first women's organization in the UMFT Tunisia (Muslim Women's Union of Tunisia) in 1936. She has rebelled against the status of women in Tunisia and defended the freedom of women and their right to education.
This activist is committed politically against French colonization and became a key fundraiser for the Destour party. She organized demonstrations and marches against the colonial power with the support of Farhat Hached, the UGTT and the Destour Party.
