The Phoenician princess, first-born of the king of Tyre landed on the coasts of Tunis in 814 BC. AD where she chooses to base its new Capital: Carthage. The new Punic city prospered in the reign of Elissa becoming the center of trade in the Mediterranean.

Didon wisdom, charisma and strong personality have made her a legend that inspired many works of Roman and Greek art.
